Classes

Art&Craft and Painting classes are held in many locations in Brisbane, Qld and abroad. A term-based Workshops run for kids ages 5-12 in St Lucia, Chapel Hill SS and Yeronga SS.  Locations for holiday workshops will vary from time to time such as in St Lucia Community Hall, Botanical Garden at Mt Coot-tha, art studio at Chapel Hill, and more. Please check out the dates and times for your children's best fit time and location. All children are welcome; they do not have to attend the school to join a term-based art class. Some children who don't go to school or on a long holiday trip could join.

Monday, Term 1 2020 - Art&Craft Class​

Kids will learn how to draw, paint, and construct with guidance. Projects include origami, drawing, painting, clay, sculpture, and more. Children will develop the skills to observe and translate into 2D and 3D artwork.  I also provide knowledge of the visual arts and challenge them to develop life-long skills such as analytical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.

This class will be only painting and no craft involved. Students will use a table easel and canvas to paint their artwork. I will introduce different media in this class while I teach the elements and principles of art. We will cover some world-famous artists and get inspired. Through fun projects, I train kids to build an aesthetic sensibility that can influence other areas of thinking.

2020 Summer Holiday Workshops
WEEK ONE (16 to 18 December 2019) - AGES 5 YEARS OLD AND UP
Painting Workshop - 16, 17, 18 Dec (Mon-Wed) ​

  • Fee: $40/day

  • Fee includes all art supplies and materials

  • Healthy morning tea provided (Please bring your own water bottle)

 

All beginners are welcome for this Acrylic Painting Class. In this 2 hour class, kids will learn basic acrylic painting skills and techniques. If your child has never used acrylic before, it will be a fantastic introduction as well. Please wear an old t-shirt.

WEEK FIVE (13 to 17 January 2020 - AGES 8 YEARS OLD AND UP

In this class, students will learn basic acrylic painting skills while working on their step-by-step painting on a stretched canvas. Also, I will be introducing some of the most influential artists around the world and talk about the styles. For the technical side, I will be showing some techniques, methods, shades, and highlights which will be a whole new level for them to try. Each student will be engaged with their creativity as they paint.
