Parent's Guide to Online Live Art Class
Tips for parents whose children are taking Online Live Art Class
1. Always keep an eye on the children, especially Elementary children
Elementary School-age children must be working where parents or guardians can be watching at all times. Please let them sit on a stable chair with no caster wheels. Or simply stand. Never kneel on a chair. Also, keep an eye on Secondary School-age children once in a while.
2. Limit Distraction
Make sure only ZOOM app screen is on. All other tabs or applications should be turned off while the class has started. Audio and Video should turn on. Please also make sure other devices are turned off.
3. Make space for Art&Craft and Painting.
It’s important that you create a space for your child for doing art. They will achieve their best work in a quiet, comfortable, and dedicated space that is strictly devoted to Art&Craft and Painting. Elementary School-age children must be working where parents or guardians can be watching at all times.
4. Be ready for the class in advance.
Be ready with some papers, pencils, pencil sharpener, and eraser for the Holiday Classes. If the child has other mediums, please have them ready as well. For Term Course classes, please be ready with the list of items provided for each class. Please make sure they go to the toilet before the class.
5. Break Time
Children will function better if they have a fixed routine break for classes that run for more than an hour. I will allow them to go to the restroom, stretch, walk around, have a small snack or drink some water on a fixed time. There will be no break for the 1-hour class.
